To make your online experience flow with the Holy Spirit, we recommend:

A. Minimal System requirements for computer

If you currently own a computer:
  • Mac
    • G4 800 Mhz processor or faster.
    • Mac OS X v10.3.9 Panther or later.
    • For higher-resolution video a faster processor (Core 2 Duo) and a broadband connection with at least 384kbps upload speeds.
    • 512 MB RAM.
    • 40 MB free disk space on your hard drive.
    • Internet connection (broadband is best, GPRS is not supported for voice calls, and results may vary on a satellite connection).
    • Set resolution to minimal 1024x768. Greater is recommended. Check your display settings on your computer. Otherwise the page designs may run off your displays.
  • PC (Windows)
    • Windows 2000, XP or Vista. (Windows 2000 users require DirectX 9.0 for video calls).
    • Internet connection (broadband is best, GPRS is not supported for voice calls, and results may vary on a satellite connection).
    • Speakers and microphone – built-in or separate.
    • For voice and video calls we recommend a computer with at least a 1GHz processor, 256 MB RAM and of course a webcam.
    • For High Quality Video calls you will need a high quality video webcam and software, a dual-core processor computer and a fast broadband connection (384 kbps).
    • Set resolution to minimal 1024x768. Greater is recommended. Check your display settings on your computer. Otherwise the page designs may run off your displays.
  • New Purchases (Either Macintosh or Windows based PC's, laptop or desktop)
    • dual core processors 2.0 GHz or higher
    • 2 GB RAM (Minimal)
    • wireless card installed
    • 160 GB Hard Drive or higher
    • Set resolution to minimal 1024x768. Greater is recommended. Check your display settings on your computer. Otherwise the page designs may run off your displays.
B. Internet browser and plugins
  • The following downloads and installs are recommended (all are free):
    • Firefox:To access the online learning portal the preferred web browser is
      • Internet Explorer can potentially cause running errors, plus will not display large version of the build-in html editor
      • Opera and Safari will not show build-in html editor
      • Pop-up configuration
        • Some of the courses use pop-up windows, therefore you will need to disable pop-up blockers in your browser. Some blockers may be turned off on Windows by right clicking an icon on the system tray, next to where the clock resides.

    • Adobe Acrobat Reader: To read the PDF documents, use
    • Quicktime: To view video and listen to audio, you will need
    • Skype for online chats, video chats, conference calls
        • You can use built in speakers and mic.
        • Recommendation: Purchase a good headset/mic combo with a quality web cam.
    • Flash viewer
C. Internet access
The course makes use of robust media to facilitate transfer of training. Having the fastest internet connection is advised. In the USA this is usually Broadband (Cable or DSL). Check your local internet service provider for current High Speed Internet Accesses.

D. Supplementary:
  • Word Processing
    • Mac
      • IOpenOffice: If you don't have Microsoft's Word to read the .doc files, you can use this free program.
    • MAC or PC
      • Google Docs to read the Word .doc files (you'll need to create a google account).
